Short abstract from the book:
Snow bunting was previously a rare breeding bird in the Faroes. Currently it occurs only as a migrant and winter visitor. 105 snow buntings have been ringed, 89 in Tórshavn, 15 on Nólsoy and one in Akraberg, Suðuroy. All have been ringed during 1962-1989. Most were ringed in early spring (January - March). A snow bunting ringed on 15 February 1968 on Nólsoy, was controlled on 9 February 1969 at the ringing site. A female snow bunting ringed on 29 March 1989 on Nólsoy, was controlled on 21 December 1989 in Glen Shee, Scotland, 600 km SSE of the ringing site.
