Short abstract from the book:
Redwing is a common spring and less common autumn migrant to the Faroes, and an irregular breeder with 10-20 pairs. The subspecies T. i. coburni, which is endemic to Iceland and the Faroes, is a common visitor in spring, with a few staying over winter in the Faroes. The subspecies T. i. iliacus is a rare autumn visitor. 138 redwings have been ringed in the Faroes, most on Nólsoy (123). 28 individuals have been identified as T. i. iliacus; the rest presumably belonged to T. i. coburni. Two redwings ringed as adults on Nólsoy 3 and 14 April 1997 were found dead in Iceland in July 1998 and July 1999, respectively. Six redwings ringed abroad (Scotland and Iceland) have been recovered in the Faroes during spring migration (29 March – 1 June).
