Short abstract from the book:
Hooded crow is a common breeding bird in the Faroes. The first bird was ringed in 1966 (Hov, Suðuroy) and most have been ringed during 1986-1995. None has been ringed since. Six hooded crows have been recovered, all at the ringing site within the year of ringing, except one ringed on 1 July 1987 and recovered 8 October 1991. No hooded crow ringed abroad has been recovered in the Faroes. The hooded crow can be assumed to be strictly resident in the Faroes. A bird found dead 19 years and 2 months old was reported after the data collection for the atlas stopped.
