Short abstract from the book:Great tit is a very rare visitor to the Faroes. Two birds were caught on 2 May 2003 in the Helgoland trap on Nólsoy. One of the birds was ringed already, as a young bird on 13 August 2002 on Sjælland, Denmark, 1,253 km SE of Nólsoy. Reports from the ferry from Hanstholm, Denmark suggest that their occurrence in the Faroes was ship-assisted.
