Short abstract from the book:Bullfinch is an irregular visitor in the Faroes, primarily in irruption years such as 1994-1995 and 2004-2005. 10 bullfinches have been ringed in the Faroes, all in Nólsoy and all since 1990; most were in 1994 (4). All were ringed between October (4) and November (6). None has been recovered. A female, ringed 19 October 2004 near Varhaug, SW Norway, was found dead 13 days later (1 November) on Nólsoy, 774 km WNW of the ringing site, corresponding to an average minimum speed of 60 km/day. A young male, ringed 22 October 2004 at Nes near Trondheim, central Norway, was killed by a cat 38 days later (29 November) at Klaksvik, 832 km W of the ringing site, corresponding to an average minimum speed of 22 km/day.
